How to Track NVIDIA, Apple, and Tech Stocks Alongside Crypto

Why a mixed tech-stock and crypto portfolio needs a single tracker — and how to set one up for free in under five minutes.

Many investors hold both tech stocks and crypto — NVIDIA (NVDA) and Bitcoin, Apple (AAPL) and Ethereum, or Tesla (TSLA) and Solana. These are different asset classes with different custodians (brokerages vs exchanges), and most apps only show one side of the picture.

The Mixed Portfolio Problem

If you hold NVDA shares in a Fidelity account and Bitcoin in a Coinbase account, you have at least two separate apps to check. Neither shows your complete financial picture. You don't know:

  • What percentage of your wealth is in tech stocks vs crypto
  • How much you've made or lost across all positions combined
  • Whether your tech exposure and crypto exposure have drifted from your target allocation

This matters because tech stocks and crypto have become significantly correlated — they often move together. If you're heavy in both, you may have less diversification than you think.

Tech Stocks and Crypto Correlation

NVIDIA, Apple, Meta, and Microsoft are all growth stocks valued on future earnings expectations. Bitcoin and Ethereum are speculative assets priced on adoption and risk sentiment. Both categories tend to:

  • Sell off when interest rates rise or risk sentiment turns negative
  • Rally when liquidity conditions ease and investors seek growth
  • Underperform bonds and gold during genuine economic stress

This correlation is not perfect, but it is meaningful. A portfolio with 30% tech stocks and 20% crypto has significant concentration in "risk-on" assets — more than the simple percentages suggest.

Adding Tech Stocks to WalletLens

WalletLens supports all major US stocks and ETFs alongside crypto. Here is how to add your tech positions:

1. Open walletlens.live/dashboard — no account needed.

2. Add NVDA: search for NVIDIA, enter your shares and cost basis.

3. Add AAPL: search for Apple, enter shares and cost basis.

4. Add TSLA, META, MSFT, or any other ticker the same way.

5. Add your crypto positions alongside the stocks.

Within a few minutes, you have a live dashboard showing all your tech stocks and crypto together, with current prices, P&L, and allocation breakdown.

Calculating P&L Before You Add

If you want to run quick calculations first:

Enter your shares, cost, and target price to see your projected P&L and ROI for each position.

Managing the Correlation Risk

Once you can see your full portfolio in WalletLens, you can identify where you have too much concentration in a single risk category. Common rebalancing moves for heavy tech+crypto portfolios:

  • Add gold (XAU) or silver (XAG) — historically lower correlation with equities and crypto
  • Add bond ETFs (BND, AGG) — provides income and stability
  • Add international equities — lower US tech concentration
  • Increase cash reserves — reduces volatility and provides dry powder for market downturns

The goal is not to eliminate risk. It is to take diversified risk — where your holdings don't all fall at the same time for the same reason.
