Why local-first?

Every portfolio tracker we tried asked us to hand over our holdings to a server, connect exchange API keys, or create an account. We didn't want to make that trade-off. WalletLens stores your data in your browser's localStorage and exports it as a single backup code you control.

Privacy by design

There is no backend database. There is no login because there is nothing to log into. The only external calls are to public price APIs (CoinGecko, Binance, Stooq, Gold-API) and, optionally, the Anthropic API for AI analysis — both called directly from your browser with no intermediary server.
